Christmas Mini Album

Welcome to my blog. I hope everyone has been having a great holiday season! I'm finally getting around to posting my first "Christmas" mini album. I used Prima's "Christmas in the Country" paper collection. I just love this paper collection, it's so pretty with an old fashion feel to it.The album is 6"x 6" with a 2" spine. It has a red ribbon closure with a "Memories" chipboard title on the front which I painted red. I also made a poinsettia flower for the front using one of my dies. On the spine I made a little dangle with Santa's face on a flattened bottle cap with some little Christmas bells hanging from it. Here are some photo's of the album:

I have also made a video of the mini album:

Adore

I hadn't made a layout for awhile since I was working on my "Crafty Companion". I've had this photo of  my daughter sitting in my box of "photos to scrap" for about a year. My daughter's friend took this photo of my daughter back in October 2018 just before she had surgery for breast cancer, almost 20 years to the day since I had my surgery for breast cancer. Now a year has gone by and she's finished all of her chemo and radiation and we can now say she's is cancer free! I am so proud of her and how strong she was going through this whole ordeal. I love you Caitlynn!

For this layout I made it pretty simple as I wanted the photo to get all of the attention. I used Prima's "Tales of You & Me" paper collection. I think the colors went perfectly with my daughters dress. I did some fussy cutting of the flowers from a duplicate of the background paper and used some foam pop dots to pop them up for a 3D look. I also found a small metal tag in my stash that says "courage", which was a perfect finishing touch to the layout! Here's the finished layout. TFL!

Crafty Companion

I purchased the templates for making this project from "JenofEve" Designs through her Etsy shop which you can find here: https://www.etsy.com/ca/search?explicit=1&q=jenofeve+designs&ref=hp_suggested_search-1 and you can find her You Tube chanel  where she has the step by step tutorials on putting her projects together here: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Jenofevedesigns.

It took quite awhile to finish the project but most of that was waiting for the papers that I ordered off Amazon to arrive. It's not perfect but I'm still happy with the finished project. Now to get it all filled up with my crafting goodies and hope I'll have a bit more organized work station in my craft room! Here's the finished project
Thanks for stopping by!

New Wall Hangings

I'm still in love with the Ciao Bella "Time for Home" paper collection but now I've found the Ciao Bella "Sound of Winter" paper collection which I've fallen in love with too! So I decided to make a heart wall hanging using both collections. I've done lots of fussy cutting of both collections and layered them on the wooden hearts that I picked up at my local dollar store. I'm quite happy at how both of them turned out. Here's the finished projects, I'd love to hear your comments!

Winter Canvas

Well I have totally fallen in love with Ciao Bella's "Time for Home" paper collection. The beautiful blues and whites of this winter collection are so perfect for any winter layout, or cards, or other projects. I made this canvas with a lot of inspiration from other projects I saw on the internet. I did a lot of fussy cutting of the different elements from this paper collection and layered them on the canvas. I added a lot of puffy paint to the different elements puffing them out with my heat tool, along with some silver glitter flakes. I was quite happy with how the canvas turned out. I would love to hear your comments on my canvas!

Stamperia Sealand Paper Collection

Since we live a few blocks from the ocean as soon as I see paper collections that involve beach/ocean themes I have to buy them and Stamperia's "Sea Land" collection was no exception. I fell in love with it and it went perfect with my grandson's pictures from his Grade 12 "Grad Boat Cruise" photo's!

I distressed all of my papers with my Prima distress tool but instead of inking with "Vintage Photo" distress ink I used "Tumbled Glass" distress ink on all of the papers and I really like how it turned out. Here's the finished layout and I'd love to hear your comments.

Layout using Ciao Bella Broccato Estense Paper Collection

I just love the different paper collections from Ciao Bella and this "Broccato Estense" papers are soooo pretty! In this photo of my grandson he is wearing a blue hoodie so this paper collection was perfect for my layout. I distressed all of my papers but instead of using Tim Holtz "Vintage Photo" distress ink I used the "Faded Jeans" distress ink which I think looked great with these papers. I only cut 4 different size papers from the collection along with one of the tags with this sweet little bird on it. I took a duplicate tag and fussy cut the bird out of it then popped it up with foam pop dots on the original tag to give it a 3D look. I added some soft blue rose flowers from Prima and then some small navy blue rose buds from my stash as well as taking one of the rose buds and tearing the top edge of the paper which I rolled back and placed the rose bud after adding some other paper for backing. I added the wooden die cut "Family" title to the layout and called it done. I was really pleased at how the layout turned out. Here's the finished layout, I'd love to hear your comments on it, TFL!

New Cards

Wow I haven't posted on my blog here since March! Been having a few health problems myself as well as my daughter but we're both doing a lot better.

I wanted to post a few new cards that I've made. These first two cards I made using Stamperia's "Blue Land" paper collection.
For this next card I used Stamperia's "Lilac Flowers" paper collection.
These next two cards I made using Prima's "Rose Quartz" paper collection.

Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear your comments!
