This layout that I've done from more of the wedding photos is about the speeches that were given. I had to do this one of my granddaughter giving her speech, which I have added to the layout. Mikayla's words to her Dad and Angela were just so heartfelt. By the time she finished there was not a dry eye in the room, especially from my son. It brings a tear to my eye just reading it now.
I have also done a little flip up of the other speeches. The first one that you can see is of my nephew, leaving his speech writting to the very last minute, lol. The next one after that is one of my grandson giving his speech to the happy couple and then one of my son giving his speech. Here's the layout, TFL!

Halloween Wall Hanging
I've had this little box in my stash for a couple of years. This came with some small wooden pieces, I believe from Prima, in it. I finally decided to use it this week to make a little Halloween wall hanging. I dragged out my basket with all my Halloween goodies and pulled out a bunch of pieces that I thought would work together.
Thr first thing I did was to pull of one of the wooden strips so I had a bigger section for my skeleton. I then painted the thing with some black paint. I took a sheet of paper from a Halloween paper pack from Tim Holtz and cut some strips to go into each section. I started with the bottom section first. I added a little paper pumpkin to the bottom corner and then a spider. After that I glued my skeleton in I tucked some cheese cloth that I had pulled apart around and under the skeleton.
For the middle section I took a couple of small corked bottles I had and filled them with some glitter glass and tiny beads to them. I fussy cut labels from the papers and added them to the bottles and glued them into place. I then added the small skeleton head, key and number piece to this section.
For my top section I added an oval tag with a black fence and raven on it to the top left corner. I found this metal bottle in my stash and added it to this section. I added two small skeleton heads and a spider to this section.
To finish off the project I added a small felt skull and cross bones to the side of the box and took out some letters from my stash to spell "BOO" and glued them to the top of the box. I then took some wire and twisted it up and added the small paper bat to the top of it and glued the other end to the box to make it look like it was flying. Here's the finished project, click on the photo to see a larger view.
A few close ups.
I'd love to hear your comments, TFL!

Thoughts & Prayers
Nothing to do with scrapping today. I just have to pass on my thoughts & prayers to all of the victims and families of the horrific mass shooting in Las Vegas. How does something like this happen? How does someone get to the point in their life that they would do something like this, especially to innocent people?
I do not like guns and although I do not live in the US I have always thought that their gun laws were not tough enough. You don't hear about mass shootings like this in Canada. It seems that anyone can get a gun these days in the US. I believe it was Michael Moore who wrote about how in one town in the US a bank was offering a free gun for opening up an account at their bank. Seriously?
The 64 yr old man responsible for this shooting apparently brought 10 suitcases with 23 guns. These weren't just hand guns, these were powerful automatic weapons that are designed to continuously fire ammunition with just one pull of the trigger. The victims of this shooting were like pigs waiting for slaughter as they were all fenced in for this open air concert when the man opened fire from his room at the Mandalay Bay hotel which was located diagonally across the street!
Yes so I know that in the US everyone has the right to bear arms for their personal protection. Having a hand gun for your protection is one thing but no one needs a AK47 for personal protection! The gun laws in the US need to change and it needs to be done now!
Please check out Jimmy Kimmel's remarks on this horrific shooting.

Chillin'
I had to scrap these two photo's of my son & the groomsmen having a beer in between the photo's being taken before the wedding ceremony. I used the Kaisercraft "Lilac Whisper" papers again. For my background paper is used the "Jade" paper from the collection. I distressed and inked all of the papers for this layout. I cut different size rectangles and banners from the other papers in the collection and laid them out as shown in the photo. The butterfly, clock and hydrangea flower are from the ephemera pack in this paper collection. I added some flowers from my stash and called it done. I'd love to hear your comments! TFL!
